A  Rosary for life

 


 

 

The Joyful Mysteries

 

1. The Annunciation “And she conceived by the Spirit.”

    We pray that the Holy Spirit teach people, that from the moment of conception here exists  a     living human being.

 

2. The Visitation. “Mary went as quickly as she could and greeted Elizabeth.”

  We pray, that like Mary, we may go quickly to support women with child.

 

3. Jesus is born. Mary has the joy of seeing and holding her child, the saviour

  We pray, that every mother may have the joy of seeing and holding her baby.

 

4. Mary and Joseph present the child Jesus in the temple.

    We pray that all parents may have the joy of seeing their child born to new life and  dedicated

    to God in baptism.

 

5. Mary and Joseph after three days find the boy Jesus in the temple.

    We pray that the childless couples may know the joy of finding their child.

 

 

The Sorrowful Mysteries

 

1. Jesus agonies in prayer over his coming passion.

    We pray that any woman agonising over her pregnancy may have the courage to accept the

    situation.

 

2. Jesus is scourged at the pillar.

    We pray that all woman suffering from the trauma of abortion.

 

3. Jesus is crowned with thorns.

    We offer this decade in reparation for the killing of babies and maintaining of women.

 

4. Jesus carries the cross

    We offer this decade for the conversion of all who promotes abortion.

 

5. On the cross Jesus cried out " Father, forgive them."

    We cry to the Father to forgive all who promote and carry out abortion.

 

 

The Glorious Mysteries

 

1. Jesus rises to new life.

    We pray that all members of the medical profession keep in mind that  they are dedicated

    to preserving human life.

 

2. Raise to the right hand of the Father Jesus pleads for us.

    We pray that those who are mocked for their belief in the sacredness of human life, may be

    encouraged by contemplating Christ pleading for them.

 

3. The Holy Spirit enlightens and strengthens the apostles

  We pray that the Holy Spirit may enlighten and strengthen all who are struggling to uphold

    the sacredness of human life.

 

4. Mary, after meeting her responsibilities amidst their suffering is carried up to heaven

    We pray that both parents may accept their responsibilities with regard to the baby and to

    each other.

 

5. Mary is crowned, sharing Christ’s kingship after sharing his passion.

  We pray that we all suffer willingly with Him, because then we shall live and reign with Him.

 

 

The Luminous Mysteries

 

1. The Baptism. “This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on Him.

    We pray that all baptized christian, strengthened by the Holy Spirit, may live, defend, proclaim     and promote the Gospel of Life with courage and zeal wherever we are 

 

2. The wedding in Cana. “Do whatever He tells you”

    We pray for all married couples especially the newly married ones that hey may always keep their     covenant with each other ever before them and obey the word of God and the  Church’s     teaching.

 

3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is close

    at hand. Repent and believe the Gospel.’

    We pray for those who work in the media that they may be made conscious of the urgent

    need to promote the culture of life.

 

4.  The Transfiguration. “This is my Son, the Chosen One, Listen to Him”

     We pray for all young people that they may be conscious of the devouring culture of death

     in their midst and heed the voice of God in the Word and in the Church’s teachings and

     thus be able to make holy decisions.

 

5.  The Institution of the Holy Eucharist.“ This is my body given up for you. Do this in remembrance

     of Me.”

     We pray for all who uphold and teach the Gospel of Life, that strengthened by the Eucharist,

     they may work ever more zealously for the sake of the kingdom.
