The First National Conference organized by HLS
The historical event that took place for HLS during the year was the hosting of the First National Conference themed ' LOVE LIFE AND FAMILY' held from November 17-18, 2007 at the Imperial Hotel Ballroom.Over 300 participants from the Dioceses of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur Kota Kinabalu, Keningau, Brunei, Kuching, Sibu, and Miri attended. Renowned speakers in the persons of Rev. Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, President of the Human Life International (HLI) USA, Dr. Ligaya Ascosta, Dr Jo Aurea Imbong from HLI, Asia, Phillippines and Dr. John Wong from the Natural Family Planning, Penang came to deliver their papers on Pro-Life issues and Natural Family Planning. His Excellency the Bishop of Miri Diocese the Rt. Rev. Anthony Lee Kok Hin delivered the keynote address.
